Sesame oil is a cold-pressed product from carefully selected unroasted sesame seeds. The product is completely natural, free from unnecessary chemical additives and pressed in a traditional way, which allows it to retain all the nutrients and excellent taste of the grains from which it was prepared. Sesame oilis pressed from unroasted seeds, thereforeit retains all the health-promoting propertiesand has a milder tastethan standard sesame oils for Asian dishes.

Sesame oil – what does it contain and how does it affect the body?

Sesame oil is a rich source of Essential Fatty Acids (EFA). Thanks to the presence of nutrients such as calcium, copper, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, lecithin and vitamins B6, D and E, sesame oil has a number of applications. Sesame seeds contain phytosterols, which lower bad cholesterol levels and prevent atherosclerosis.

Use of sesame oil

Sesame oil is traditionally used in many dishes of Middle Eastern, Asian and Arabic cuisine. However, cold-pressed oil is recommended primarily for cold consumption or for pouring over warm dishes. The product goes perfectly with fried pasta, salads, vegetables and fish, providing a carrier of the vitamins they contain.

Beyond the kitchen, it is also used in cosmetology as a natural cosmetic for skin care (especially mature, combination and dry skin), as well as for hair oiling.

How to store sesame oil?

Cold-pressed sesame oil should be stored in its original dark bottle at room temperature, away from direct sunlight (for example, in a locked kitchen cabinet). After opening, keep the productin the refrigerator until the expiration date. Sealed unroasted sesame oil usually has a shelf life of 6 months (from the date of pressing), which is due to the specificity of the cold pressing process and the omission of the purification step.

Natural sesame oil does not contain any preservatives, so it is produced in small quantities, which guarantees its freshness and excellent taste.
