Swanson Maximum Strength Plant Sterols CardioAid® is a dietary supplement in capsule form containing the patented CardioAid® plant sterol complex. Each capsule provides 400 mg of plant sterols (min. 90% esters), including beta-sitosterol, campesterol, sigmasterol, brassicasterol and beta-sitosterol.

Plant sterols have been shown to lower blood cholesterol levels. High cholesterol is a risk factor for coronary heart disease. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 1.5-2.4 g of plant sterols.
