It is made with 80% roasted, unblanched almonds, so it tastes milder than the classic Szarlotta made with peanuts, and the apple and cinnamon come forward. No added sugar, emulsifiers or palm oil. Spread it on porridge, pancakes and toast, or eat it straight from the jar.

About the product

Szarlotta, the Polish word for apple pie, is the idea behind this jar: the taste of a homemade apple pie without the pastry. The base is roasted, unblanched almonds (80%), blended with dried apples, cinnamon and a little salt. The result is a smooth almond cream that smells and tastes like a warm apple pie.

The Basia Basia range has two Szarlotta creams. The classic one is made with peanuts and has a more pronounced nutty character. Deluxe is built on almonds: it is milder and creamier, so the apple and cinnamon stand out more. Hence the name.

Directions for use

1. Stir the contents of the jar. A layer of oil on top of a nut cream is natural.
2. Add to warm porridge, millet porridge or cereal. With fresh apple the apple pie character is even clearer.
3. Spread on pancakes, waffles, toast or fresh bread.
4. Add to yoghurt, desserts, homemade bakes or fresh fruit.
5. Or simply open the jar and reach for a spoon.

Storage

Store at room temperature. Once opened, consume within 1 month.
